Tag Rugby Tournament

 

We started at 10:30, playing against Birch Hill. Christopher was the captain of the team. We started with the ball. Tallulah threw it to Christopher. He ran forward but got tagged and passed. Curtis got tagged, passed to Freddie and got a knock on and gave the ball to the other team. So they passed and ran forward and got tagged, but scored a try. Tallulah started with the ball and passed to Curtis who ran to the line, but got tagged and passed to Sam. He went over the try line and scored a point for our team. The other team started with the ball and passed it to one of their players. They ran straight for the try line but got tagged by Christopher. They passed the ball and they scored a try. Tallulah started with the ball and passed it to Christopher, who ran for the try line but was tagged and he threw it to Freddie. He was tagged and passed it to Curtis, who went off, so it was the other team’s ball. They passed it to their players and ran for the try line. They scored a try. When it got to the end of the match, we lost 2-3 to the other team.

Next we played Jennett’s Park. We started with the ball again. Tallulah passed it to Curtis who ran to the try line but got tagged 3 steps away, so he passed to Anna who scored. Jennett’s Park started with the ball and passed and ran straight to the try line and scored a try. Sadly, we lost 5-1 to the other team.

Our third game was against Whitegrove. We started with the ball again. Tallulah passed to Curtis who got tagged and passed to Jemma, who ran to the try line but got tagged. So she passed to Keavie, who scored a try. They started with the ball and ran straight to the try line and scored. Sadly we lost 4-1 to Whitegrove.

Our second to last game was against Owlsmoor. The other team started with the ball, the pass went wrong and it was a knock-on. We soon countered and Chris scored. Everyone was exited as we won our first match, 5-1

Our last game was against Sandy Lane. The opposite team scored a try. In the closing minutes of the match, Sandy Lane was winning 4-3. Luckily Curtis equalised fulltime, 4-4

Unfortunately, by that time we were out but Mrs Foster and Mrs Clark were extremely proud of our sportsmanship. The captain quoted ‘Everyone played brilliantly’ but we had to go home.
