I have really enjoyed seeing your superheroes you designed and wrote about last week smiley

They looked like they do some amazing good deeds - we could all do with a superhero in our life!

 

In English this week we are going to carry on with our usual spelling and handwriting.

In phonics we are recapping the e-e split digraph. Lots of you are finding the daily 'Letters and Sounds Year 1 Lesson' on YouTube useful so keep watching that too (10.30am daily but you can watch them any time).

In writing we are going to read some of the 'Lighthouse Keeper's' stories by Ronda and David Armitage and plan and write our own Lighthouse Keeper story.

I know lots of you are doing really well keeping up with your reading so well done! Try to read for ten minutes a day either school books, eBooks from www.oxfordowl.co.uk or your own books are fine too.

1. Listen to some of the Lighthouse Keeper's stories by Ronda and David Armitage.

2. Plan your own Lighthouse Keeper adventure using one of the story maps to draw and write your ideas down.

3. Have ago at writing your own Lighthouse Keeper adventure using your story map to help you.

4. Try to remember full-stops, capitals, finger-spaces, handwriting and read it through to check it makes sense.
