Welcome to week 6 of our Additional Home Learning.
Hopefully you all enjoyed the long weekend and celebrated V.E day with bunting and cakes!
You are all doing incredibly well and I am so proud of how you are engaging with the home learning we are setting and also using our beautiful surroundings to learn about the outdoors
Well done writing your letters to friends and family, I'm sure it will have cheered them up to receive a letter in the post! Some of you are also thinking about our community and helping neighbours - let us know what you are doing and then we can share your acts of kindness with the class.
In maths this week we are looking at fractions and learning how to recognise and find a half and a quarter.
In English we are doing our usual spelling, handwriting and phonics. In writing we are going to be learning all about superheroes and having a go at a reading comprehension.
In topic we are going to be finding out about seaside holidays in the past and seaside entertainment.
In outdoor learning we are going to collect some local rocks and stones from the woods, try and identify them and do some art work.
We are also going to read The Gruffalo and do some Gruffalo dance. If you want to listen to the story look on Mrs.H's Storytime or if you want to watch a Gruffalo movie check out Dylan's on Class 1 Movies!
Have a good week and keep sending me your photos and emails. I am enjoying finding out what you are getting up to and it's good to see everybody on the slideshow.
Love Mrs H x
