‘Imagine a school that is the heartbeat of its community, a place that inspires each and every child and adult to live and learn through respect for others, for ourselves and for our school.
Imagine a school where, day-in, day-out, the fabric of our amazing curriculum strives for excellence, where opportunities feel real and embrace the outdoors and where curiosity about the world nurtures a love of learning.
Imagine a school where everyone is part of a family, there for each other, loving, caring and sharing in the joy of celebrating those very special moments that fill us with happiness and pride, always aspiring and trying to be the best we can be.
That school is New Scotland Hill.’

On behalf of the children, staff and governors, welcome to our website.

New Scotland Hill Primary School and Nursery is a one-form entry primary school (Reception to Year 6) with a 26 place Nursery on site. The children benefit from a well-resourced school with a beautiful outdoor learning environment.

I hope that from spending some time here, you will begin to develop an understanding of our vision, values and aims which underpin all aspects of school life. These are lived out through the school’s motto, “Enjoying living and learning together”.

Our hardworking and dedicated staff team develop the potential of every child through challenging learning opportunities provided in the context of a creative, inclusive and stimulating curriculum. Each programme of study is carefully planned to ensure that children thrive and develop a positive attitude, appropriate skills and a deeper understanding of the world around them.  We have high expectations of what we can achieve together; children and staff alike are rightly proud of our happy and successful school.

We recognise that education is a partnership and value the contributions parents, grandparents and members of our local community make to support the children with different aspects of their educational experience.

We hope that you enjoy your visit to our website and that you find any information you are looking for. Please feel free to contact the school office with any queries you may have, or to arrange a viewing of our school.

I look forward to meeting you.

Kind regards

Simon Cotterill
