Welcome back to the second half of the Autumn term.
The Crowthorne Fire Brigade will be visiting us on the morning of Monday 18th November.
It is our trip to the River and Rowing Museum on Thursday 21st November. Remember to wear school uniform with a warm coat, gloves and a hat, if it is really cold! You will also need a packed lunch in a lunch box.
This week we will start a unit of work on fractions that will build on the knowledge the children already have from previous years. We will begin with a recap of the language associated with fractions, equivalent fractions and how to order them using this knowledge. We will then learn how to convert fractions from proper fractions to improper fractions and vice versa. Remember to continue practising your times tables at home using the Times Tables Rock Stars website and the log in information that is stuck inside your reading diary.
This week we will use our mystery story ideas and comic strips to plan and write a mystery story including as many elements of descriptive writing and effective story writing as we can. We will also focus on how to edit and improve our own work.
